Recognition of the Programme

The programme is a recognized postgraduate qualification for promotion in the medical laboratory science profession by the Hospital Authority.  

Although the programme is not recognized as the SOLE and PRIMARY degree by the Hong Kong Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) Board for registration purpose due to the total number of hours required (the Hong Kong MLT Board requires more hours than a part-time two-year programme), it can be used to supplement or strengthen any application with a degree which is not majoring at medical laboratory sciences.

• Dr Anthony Shek, Consultant Chemical Pathologist, Queen Elizabeth Hospital

• Mr Tsim Yiu-Lam , President of Hong Kong Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences

• Dr Li Kwok-Hung, Director of Pathology Laboratories, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital
